Supermajority.

Langer Public Affairs followers predict stronger mandate for Tim Houston’s governing Progressive Conservatives.

Langer Public Affairs followers were recently asked to predict the results of the NS Election riding-by-riding. Their predictions align well with recent polls and indicate the PCs will return to power with an even stronger mandate, increasing their seat count and achieving supermajority status. Readers also predict some gains for the NDP as well as major losses for the Liberals.

39 - 9 - 6 - 1

The final seat projection has the Tories comfortably in majority territory with 39 seats, gaining significantly since the last election, an almost unheard of feat for an incumbent government. The NDP make small gains and creep closer to double digits, while the Liberals suffer losses across the province, losing ground to both parties. Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin, the lone Independent MLA at dissolution, is expected by readers to keep her seat.
